What is ReallyArchitecture?

ReallyArchitecture (re:ACT), a Singapore-registered architecture society, was founded in 2006 with a shared desire to make a difference in the world though architecture. We believe that architects must stay relevant to society by taking on additional roles and new approaches in space-making, thus creating a positive impact in the community. We do this by promoting interdisciplinary exploration and collaboration among government bodies, design professionals, educational institutions and the local community, thereby creating an open interactive platform by which ideas and visions can be realised.

Especially concerned with the development of architecture in Asia, re:ACT hopes to create real-world impact by pushing boundaries and encouraging exploratory thinking in the areas of architecture with education, culture, heritage, societal phenomena, environmental sustainability, interactive technology and civic policies. Through these initiatives, we aim to leave our clients with a fresh and meaningful appreciation for architecture and a deeper awareness of the value of place. In many ways, we are saying “It’s time to think about the environment we live in and be empowered to make a difference!”

Some of re:ACT’s prominent works include the Let’s TAP exhibition (2006), Architect in a Bottle Public Forum (2006); Secret Garden - Film Documentary on the Re-development of Seletar Airbase (2007); Design My Place workshops (2007- ); Singapore Supergarden, Venice Biennale (2008) and CUBE Workshop (2009- )

see you
